“No Neighbour in Need” 2017 Report to Community Out Now!

The HPRT (Halton Poverty Roundtable) is excited to release its 2017 Community Report, which highlights progress made and key initiatives including the Smart Start Halton, Halton Sport Leadership Program, Income Security, and the Halton Community Benefits Network.

In Halton Region over 41% of renters are spending more than 30% of their income on housing.  Who is spending more?   Did you know students in Halton are going hungry?  How many students are going hungry?  How is your neighbourhood impacted in Burlington, Oakville, Halton Hills or Milton?

HPRT envisions for all residents in the region to make a living income, and ability to access all opportunities, resources and supports to thrive and participate in an inclusive Halton.  What is the living wage in Halton?  How does this impact your neighbour?
